  • Who can use KY MARK services?

    KY MARK’s services are available to primary care clinicians enrolled in the program including: pediatricians, family physicians, nurse practitioners, and physician assistants who care for children and adolescents. 

  • How do I sign up for KY MARK?

    Providers can enroll on KY MARK website.

  • How do I request a consultation?

    Once enrolled in the KY MARK program you will receive a confirmation email with a link to our Request for Consultion form.  The link you receive with be used all for all future requests.  

  • Is there a fee?

    KY MARK is free to all Kentucky primary care providers. 

  • What types of questions may I ask?

    Primary care professionals may request a consultation with questions around the assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of child mental health or developmental concerns. We can also help identify local community referral options for children and youth for management outside of the primary care setting. 

  • Who will I speak with during a consultation?

    KY MARK has two consultation lines, each team consists of a child psychiatrist and a care coordinator.  Our child psychiatrists are from the University of Kentucky and the University of Loiusville.  The counties in KY are assigned to either UK or UofL and is dependent upon the county in which your practice is located.  However, there is an option to choose which line you prefer to consult with.  This option is located on the request for consultationform.

  • What information will I need to submit a request for consultation?

    Once enrolled in the KY MARK program you will be given access to a link for our Request for Consultation form. The form will ask for the patient’s age, gender, race, and insurance coverage, as well as any pertinent history, including current/previous treatment, medication regimen, and current diagnosis. During your consultation with a psychiatrist, you may be asked additional questions to assist in providing the best consultation possible.

  • Can families request a consultation?

    The KY MARK consultation line is designed to be a resource for primary care providers. We are not able to consult directly with families.
